Hiking in the Swiss canton of Luzern (Lucerne)
Luzern (Lucerne in French) is the name of both the Swiss canton and its capital city. Located in central Switzerland in the midst of the Alps, Luzern is full of beautiful mountains and lakes — which, much like the rest of Switzerland, means many hiking and other adventure possibilities.
The city of Luzern is close to the famous Mount Pilatus, as well as the Rigi — a mountain massive surrounded by Lake Luzern, Lake Zug and Lake Lauerz. The city is famous in its own right for its beautiful covered wooden bridge and old town.
